XPS Annotator adalah dokumen manajemen software untuk Microsoft Windows yang mangizinkan pengguna untuk melihat (membaca, membuka), menganotasi, mengkonversi, menandatangani digital dan mencetak sebuah XPS dokumen.[1][2] Lisensi dari XPS Annotator adalah freeware. Software pertama kali dirilis pada 12 Maret 2009 (versi 1.0).[3]

Program dibuat oleh Danang Probo Sayekti[4] asal Indonesia, tinggal di desa Grabag, kabupaten Magelang, provinsi Jawa Tengah. XPS Annotator hanya bisa berjalan di Windows XP dengan Service pack 2 dan Windows Server 2003 dengan Service pack 1 atau Service pack terbaru (contoh: Service pack 3) dan sistem operasi terbaru dari Microsoft (contoh: Windows Vista, Windows 2008, Windows 7).

XPS Annotator ditulis menggunakan bahasa pemrograman C# dan XAML, menggunakan Microsoft Visual Studio Express yang menyebabkan ketergantungan terhadap Microsoft .NET Framework. XPS Annotator merupakan XPS Viewer yang berdiri sendiri, tidak dihosting oleh Internet Explorer.
