Etimologi

Bintang ini memiliki nama tradisional Adhafera (Aldhafera, Adhafara), yang berasal dari bahasa Arab الضفيرة al-ðafīrah "kepang di surai (sang singa)". Nama lainnya untuk bintang ini adalah:
