يعني اسم النجم حرفياً المنجم الصيني، وله عدد من التسميات الأخرى مثل سانتا ريتا Santa Rita أو سانتا ريتا دل كوبري Santa Rita del Cobre؛ وكان قد ابتدأ العمل فيه سنة 1909.[1][2][3]
