The aggregate value of the gross balances of primary incomes for all sectors. GNI is equal to GDP less taxes (less subsidies) on production and imports, compensation of employees and property income payable to the rest of the world plus the corresponding items receivable from the rest of the world. Thus GNI at market prices is the sum of gross primary incomes receivable by resident institutional units/sectors. It is commonly denominated GNP. In contrast to GDP, GNI is not a concept of value added, but a concept of income."--Olejasz 8. feb 2006 kl. 02:11 (CET)
