On election day, 3 November 1874, incumbent DemocraticGovernor of NevadaLewis R. Bradley won the election by a margin of 2,525 votes against his opponent Republican nominee John Clark Hazlett, thereby retaining Democratic control over the office of Governor. Bradley was sworn in for his second term on 3 January 1875.[1]
