The Washington State House elections, 2012 had primaries held on August 7, 2012[ 1] and general elections held on November 6, 2012[ 2] determining who will represent each of the 49 Legislative Districts in the state of Washington in the Washington State House of Representatives . Each district elects two representatives who are elected for two-year terms.
A top two primary election on August 7, 2012, determined which two candidates would appear on the November ballot. Candidate were allowed to write in their party preference.[ 3]
