The 2018 season is Persija Jakarta's 85th competitive season since 1933 and the 24th in a row in the top flight since 1994. Along with the Liga 1, the club competed in the Piala Indonesia and the AFC Cup,[1] with the latter being their first appearance since 2001. The season covers the period from 1 January to 31 December 2018.

^Bhayangkara would have qualified for the AFC Cup group stage had Persija qualified for the AFC Champions League group stage. As Persija failed to qualify for the AFC Champions League group stage, Bhayangkara's qualification in the AFC Cup was annulled.
Note: Perseru Serui hosted Persija Jakarta at Marora Stadium on 3 July. Because Persija Jakarta must go to Singapore two days before the match against Home United in AFC Cup.[4]
