The 2025 Boston Red Sox season will be the 125th season in Boston Red Sox franchise history, and their 114th season at Fenway Park. Alex Cora is under contract as the team's on-field manager, in what will be the fifth season of his second stint in that role. The team is scheduled to open the regular season in an away game against the Texas Rangers on March 27, and conclude with a home game against the Detroit Tigers on September 28.^[1]

Offseason

In September 2024, the team announced they would introduce a new "City Connect 2.0" uniform for the 2025 season, while retaining their existing City Connect uniform (yellow and blue) and retiring their blue alternate road jersey, which had been introduced in 2009.^[2]

Spring training

The team's first spring training contest is scheduled for February 21, an exhibition contest against the Northeastern Huskies at JetBlue Park. The team's Grapefruit League schedule runs from February 22 through March 23.^[3]^[4]
