2025 Formula Regional Australia Championship

The 2025 Formula Regional Australia Championship is scheduled to be the inaugural season of the Formula Regional Australia Championship, organized by the promoter of the Australian Formula Open series, two-time Australian Gold Star winner Tim Macrow.[1] The championship will feature drivers, competing in Formula Regional cars that conform to the FIA Formula Regional regulations.

Entry list

All drivers will compete with identical Tatuus FT-60 chassis cars powered by either Toyota or Alfa Romeo engines, making the FR Australia Championship the first multi-engine Formula Regional championship.[2] The championship will use the cars raced in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship as part of an agreement that sees the chassis shipped from New Zealand to Australia and vice-versa after each championship has concluded.[3]

Race calendar

The 2025 calendar was announced on 20 December 2024.[4] The championships' inaugural season is scheduled to consist of six race weekends, all held in Australia, with the date and venue of the final round - planned to be held in New Zealand - yet to be revealed.[5][6]
