American basketball player and coach
April Phillips is an American basketball coach and former player who is the current head coach of the San Jose State Spartans women's basketball team.[ 1]
On April 6, 2022, Phillips was hired as head coach at San Jose State University .[ 2]
Early life and playing career
A native of Long Beach, California and graduate of Long Beach Polytechnic High School , Phillips attended Georgia Tech where she was played on the women's basketball team for one year, before transferring to Xavier in 2006.[ 3] [ 4]
