Don Colossus
Don Colossus – also titled The Patriot Statue of Donald J. Trump – is a 15-foot-tall (4.6 m) bronze statue of Donald Trump, sculpted by Alan Cottrill.[1] DescriptionDon Colossus is a bronze statue depicting Donald Trump standing upright, with his right hand raised above his head in a fist.[1] It is 15 feet (4.6 m) tall and weighs six tons.[2][3] Trump's pose is modeled on the raised-fist photographs captured immediately following Trump's assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania in July 2024.[1][2] CreationThe statue was commissioned by a group of cryptocurrency enthusiasts from both the United States and Canada in August 2024, following the July 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.[1][2][4] The group paid around $400,000 and commissioned American sculptor Alan Cottrill to erect the statue.[1][2][5] The cost roughly $1 million to complete.[2][4] It was cast by Cottrill in Zanesville, Ohio.[2][4] ExhibitionThe statue was unveiled at the Washington, D.C. Capital One Arena during the Make America Great Again Victory Rally on the eve of the second inauguration of Donald Trump in January 2025.[4][6][7] Trump was expected to appear with the sculpture during his inauguration.[2][4][7] The statue will eventually be on permanent display at Trump's future Presidential library.[2][4][6] See alsoReferences
