98 Wireless is a residential condominium located on Witthayu Road in the central business district of Bangkok, Thailand. Developed by Sansiri, the 25-story building was completed in 2017. [3][4][5] At its grand opening, units were listed at up to ฿720,000 per square meter, making it one of Bangkok's most expensive luxury condos. [6]
History
Sansiri announced the development of 98 Wireless in 2013.[4] The building opened in 2017.[7] The Ploenchit–Chidlom area, where the building is located, has recorded more than ฿100 billion in real estate investment since 2013 and has seen increased adoption of green-oriented design.[8] 98 Wireless was among several high-end condominium projects contributing to activity in Bangkok’s luxury residential market during the early 2020s. [9]
Architecture and design
The condominium was designed in the Beaux-Arts architecture style, with a limestone façade.[4] The interiors were developed with the involvement of international design consultants.[3][10]
The 25-storey building contains 77 residential units, ranging from two-bedroom apartments to penthouses.[3] The building amenities include a spa, swimming pool, and library.[11][12]
Sustainability
In 2017, 98 Wireless was the first residential building in Thailand to receive LEED certification for environmental and sustainability standards.[13]
Recognition
In 2017, the project received recognition at the International Design & Architecture Awards,[14] and in 2018 at the Asia Pacific Property Awards.[15]
