Utraula Tehsil (Hindi: उतरौला तहसील) is an administrative subdivision (tehsil) of Balrampur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The headquarters of the tehsil is located in the town of Utraula. It is one of the three major tehsils of Balrampur district.
Utraula Tehsil is located in the historical Awadh region and comes under the Devipatan Division. It serves as an important administrative, agricultural and commercial centre for surrounding rural areas.
According to the Balrampur district administration, Utraula is one of the three tehsils of the district and includes approximately 363 villages. [1]

Utraula Tehsil is situated in the northeastern plains of Uttar Pradesh. The region forms part of the fertile agricultural belt of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
