AudienceView is a Toronto-based software company that provides e-commerce and ticketing software for events and entertainment organizations.[1]

History

AudienceView was co-founded in 2002 by Kevin Kimsa.[2]

In November 2016, AudienceView received a growth investment from Rubicon Technology Partners.[3][4]

In July 2017, the company acquired TheaterMania, including the OvationTix ticketing platform and the TheaterMania and WhatsOnStage media brands.[5][6]

In May 2019, AudienceView acquired Vendini, a San Francisco-based ticketing and box office management company.[7][8]

Later in 2019, the company acquired UniversityTickets, a provider of ticketing and event management software for higher-education institutions.[9]

Coverage

AudienceView has been covered in business and ticketing-industry publications primarily in connection with investments, acquisitions, and developments in ticketing technology.[10][11]

BetaKit described the company's acquisition of Vendini as part of AudienceView's expansion of its event-commerce and ticketing portfolio following its earlier acquisition of TheaterMania.[12]

Trade coverage has also referred to AudienceView as part of the wider market of white-label ticketing providers used by venues and event operators.[13]
