Battle for Dream Island Again 5b (BFDIA 5b) is a 2D puzzle-platform game created with Adobe Flash in 2013. It was created by Cary Huang and Michael Huang, and takes place in the second season of Battle for Dream Island. It follows FreeSmart traversing through and escaping Evil Leafy’s body using different abilities.

A remaster for the game is in development, and is set to release onto the Nintendo Switch on a later date.

Premise

Taking place after the events of Battle for Dream Island Again 5a, it is a puzzle-platform game created in Adobe Flash. The FreeSmart members, trapped inside Evil Leafy (a red, hostile version of Leafy introduced earlier in the season) traverse through and escape her body using different abilities.

Three of the Freesmart members each have their own different gameplay mechanics.[b] The game has 54 levels.[c] Since characters often die in the game, they are able to be brought back to life using machines called “Recovery Centers”.

History

The game was originally released as a flash browser game on February 11, 2013. During the 2026 Comic-Con, creator Michael Huang revealed a remaster in the works, and potential plans for release on the Nintendo Switch for a later date.[1]
