Behavioral Signals was founded in 2016 by a team including Shri Narayanan, a professor at the University of Southern California.[1][2] The company emerged from research in speech processing and affective computing. In 2020, Behavioral Signals was recognized as a "Cool Vendor" in AI for customer analytics by Gartner.[3][4]
The company's technology analyzes vocal patterns to detect emotional states and behavioral cues in speech.[5][6] Its AI-Mediated Conversations (AI-MC) platform applies machine learning to optimize human interactions.
