Bluefish Labs (doing business as Bluefish) is an American marketing technology company headquartered in New York City. The company develops search engine optimization tools. Bluefish's clients include Adidas and Tishman Speyer.[1]
History
Founding
Bluefish was founded in February 2024 by Alex Sherman, Andrei Dunca, and Jing Feng.
- Alex Sherman previously co-founded PromoteIQ, a retail media platform acquired by Microsoft.
- Andrei Dunca was a co-founder of LiveRail, a video advertising platform acquired by Facebook (now Meta).
- Jing Feng has held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, PromoteIQ, and LiveRail.
Funding
In 2024, Bluefish raised $3.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Crane Venture Partners.[2]
In August 2025, Bluefish raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by NEA, with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Crane Venture Partners, Swift Ventures, and Bloomberg Beta, bringing its total funding to $24 million.[3] The company reported 10x revenue growth in the six months prior to the Series A announcement.[1]
