Draft:Bronco Test

The Bronco Test is a variation of the multi-stage fitness test[1], used primarily in rugby union and league, often as a pre-season ritual. It is used to estimate the maximum aerobic speed (MAS) of the individuals.

The test requires participants to complete a sequence of shuttle runs over 60m, 40m, and 20m. Once the 5th set is completed, the time is noted. The aim for participants is to complete the assessment in the quickest time possible[2].

It was originally developed in New Zealand around 2010 and is used by the New Zealand All Blacks within their strength and conditioning training.[3]
