CSI was founded in 1999 by Mohammad Abul Hasan and is headquartered at Sherin Plaza, 77 Laboratory Road, Elephant Road, Dhaka-1205, Bangladesh.[1] CSI also maintains overseas offices in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. The company serves as an authorized distributor for more than 25 international technology brands and operates a nationwide retail and distribution network comprising over 21 branches across Bangladesh.[2]

History
CSI was founded in 1999 by Mohammad Abul Hasan in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with the goal of supporting the growth of Bangladesh's information and communications technology (ICT) sector.[1] In its early years, CSI operated as a retail store selling computer components and peripherals from Elephant Road, one of the most prominent commercial hubs for electronics in Dhaka.
During the 2000s, CSI gradually expanded beyond retail and entered the distribution business. CSI secured authorized distributorship agreements with several international technology brands, which allowed the company to supply products to retailers, resellers, and corporate clients across the country. CSI's product range also expanded during this period, extending from basic computer components to networking equipment, security and surveillance systems, office technology, and consumer electronics.[1]
By the 2010s, CSI had established branch offices in all eight divisional cities of Bangladesh, as well as in several district-level towns. CSI opened locations in Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Cumilla, Bogra, Jashore, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Kushtia, Pabna, Noakhali, and Feni, along with multiple branches within Dhaka.[4]
CSI also expanded its operations internationally by establishing PC Power Technology (HK) Limited in Hong Kong and a liaison office in Shenzhen, China. These overseas offices serve as supply chain support centers, enabling CSI to work directly with manufacturers and technology suppliers in the Asia-Pacific region.[1]
In November 2024, CSI received ISO 9001:2015 certification from QFS Management Systems LLP for its operations in IT product importation, distribution, and service delivery.[3] as well as Bangladeshi technology YouTube channel PC Builder Bangladesh featured CSI's factory and headquarters operations in a video tour, showcasing the company's distribution and manufacturing facilities.[5]
