Catching Evil.[1] is an true crime podcast by Australian veteran journalists Andy Byrne (author of The Pretty Girl Killer[2]) and Mark Llewellyn. Catching Evil is the result of an eight-year field investigation spanning two continents that gives voice to the putative and confirmed victims of American-Australian serial killer Christopher Wilder. The podcast discusses both known victims of Wilder[3][4][5] as well as several unsolved murders[6][7] and unidentified victims (Jane Does)[8][9] which the podcast investigation as linked to Wilder.
The podcast donates[1] to not-for-profit supporting those affected by violent crime including Survivors of Homicide Inc,[10] Yesterday Today Tomorrow Women[11] and Mary's House Services[12].

- Catching Evil Podcast received 100,000 downloads in the first 30 days since its release on January 19, 2026, placing it in the top one percent of shows globally.[49][50]
- Catching Evil Podcast was shortlisted for the Inaugural Australian Audio Awards - Best New Podcast – Independent.[51]
- The Catching Evil Podcast team has joined forces with the brother of one of the victims of the Wanda Beach Murders to renew calls for re-evaluation of the case and a search for lost critical forensic evidence which could link be used to conclusively link Wilder to the crime.[6]
- The podcast investigation has been able to link Wilder to several unsolved murders[7] and unidentified victims (Jane Does)[8] including the Ellery Jane Doe[52] of Chautauqua County, New York. Authorities in the United States have asked to meet with the podcast investigators to discuss the new evidence they have unearthed.[9]
