Chadd Alexander is a former college basketball player turned Broadway and TV actor.[1]
He currently plays the Sorting Hat in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, alongside Tom Felton, who is making his Broadway debut and reprising his role as Draco Malloy from the film franchise.[2]. [3]
Chadd is also a playwright. His play ‘Quicker than the Rose’ was a semifinalist at the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference.
Chadd played college basketball at Rice University where he studied English Literature.[4]
Chadd grew up in The Woodlands, Texas. He was co-captain of his high school basketball team and won the 2006 SPC Texas State Championship. His teammates included his twin brother Matthew Wilson, and Cory and Coby Cotton of Dude Perfect.
Chadd’s birth name is Chadd Alexander Wilson.
