CreditOdds is an American personal finance website that estimates a consumer's likelihood of being approved for a credit card before they apply. The site aggregates application results voluntarily submitted by users including credit score, income, length of credit history, recent credit inquiries, and the application outcome and compares a visitor's credit profile against those records to produce an approval-odds estimate.[1]
History
CreditOdds was founded in 2021 by a group our members from the /r/CreditCards team. The site's initial dataset was assembled by manually collecting self-reported application results from credit card discussion forums.
Features
The site's core tool asks visitors for basic credit-profile information and returns estimated approval odds for the credit cards in its database, which covers more than 150 cards.[1] Unlike the pre-qualification tools offered by card issuers and some comparison sites, CreditOdds does not perform a soft credit pull; its estimates are derived entirely from historical, crowdsourced application records.[1] The site also publishes credit card news and comparison pages, and states that its card rankings are not influenced by affiliate commissions.
