Dandy's World (stylized in all caps) is a horror mascot survival game created on Roblox on January 15, 2024 by a user named Qwelver aka Qwel and the indie game studio BlushCrunch Studio, and later released on June 14, 2024. It was one of the fastest games to reach 1 billion visits on Roblox,[1] taking just 6 months to achieve this milestone. It had over 2.7 billion visits as of March 2025, placing it in the top 40 most played Roblox games.[2]
In 2026 the American publishing comapny Scholastic announced a partnership to start creating books.[3]
Premise
The goal is to go up an elevator as a character called a toon among endless floors to extract ichor without being caught by twisteds—evil, ichor-covered characters that resemble toons and chase and attack players. Each floor has a minimum of four machines that players must 'extract' ichor from. Once a player successfully extracts all the machines on a floor, they can progress onto the next floor.
Lobby
Players spawn in the lobby, from where they can access the elevators that take them to the floors, as well as to two (sometimes three) shops. Dandy's shop, Dyle's shop, and occasionally an event shop. Players can go to Dandy's Shop to buy Toon Licenses that let players play as certain toons. Dandy and Dyle are non-purchasable toons, as they are developer-exclusive. Players can also purchase trinkets there. Dyle sells skins for toons and stickers. An event shop will appear if there is an ongoing event, providing event toons, stickers and skins. Bobette manages the Christmas shop, Bassie the Easter one, and Gourdy the Halloween one.
The lobby also provides access to the Dandy's World roleplay, a place where player can play as any toon or twisted in several set floors. This place is purely for such and thus does not allow players to play the actual game. Some floors in the roleplay are inaccessible in-game.
