David "Dave" Casey (born 20 September 1991), known by the nickname "Mudflap", is an Australian racing driver from Rockhampton, Queensland. He competes in Touring Car Masters, where he leads the Pro Sport class in 2026, having previously raced in the V8 SuperUtes Series. He is the owner and driver of SWL Racing.[1][2][3] == Early life == Casey is from Rockhampton in Central Queensland.[1] Before circuit racing, he competed in four-wheel-drive events, including winch truck challenges.[citation needed] == Career == === Stadium Super Trucks === Casey moved into circuit racing through Stadium Super Trucks during its Australian rounds.[citation needed] === SuperUtes Series === After Stadium Super Trucks ceased running in Australia, Casey switched to the Haltech V8 SuperUtes Series in 2022, driving a V8-powered Isuzu D-Max built to the category's regulations. He made his series debut at the Tasmania SuperSprint at Symmons Plains Raceway.[4] Casey has contested multiple SuperUtes seasons. At the 2025 Bathurst 1000 support event, his No. 782 Mitsubishi Triton was tapped from behind and rolled twice at Murray's Corner, with Casey walking away unharmed.[5][1][6] His crew rebuilt the vehicle in less than six hours, allowing him to return for a later race the same day.[7] === Touring Car Masters === In November 2025, Casey moved into Touring Car Masters, debuting a new VB Holden Commodore built by Gary O'Brien and the Bendigo Retro team at the Sandown round.[2] He finished second in his class on debut.[8] Contesting his first full season in 2026, Casey won the Pro Sport class at the season-opening round at Sydney Motorsport Park.[9] He followed this with further Pro Sport class wins and pole positions, including at the Tasmania round at Symmons Plains Raceway, leading the Pro Sport class standings.[3][10] Casey no longer competes in the V8 SuperUtes Series. == SWL Racing == Casey owns and runs SWL Racing.[2] He organises the SWL 4x4 Zone at the annual Rockynats motorsport event in Rockhampton.[citation needed] == References ==
