Declan Martin Lohan (born July 18, 1965) is an Irish entrepreneur based in Norfolk, England. He is a director and property owner with interests in residential, commercial, and leisure properties, and is a co-founder and owner of the motor racing team Virtuosi Racing.[1][2][3]

Biography

Lohan was born on July 18, 1965, in Glenamaddy, County Galway, Ireland. He completed his second-level education in Ireland but did not obtain formal qualifications. He moved into business independently and has been self-employed since 1989.[citation needed]

His early work focused on acquiring and managing residential, commercial, and leisure properties, including pubs and hotels. In 1997, he became managing director of the Lohan Group, a role he has held while continuing to expand his property interests. He served as a director of different companies over the years and as the owner of different property-related businesses.[citation needed]

In 2012, Lohan co-founded Virtuosi Racing in the United Kingdom with Andy Roche and Paul Devlin. The team was established to compete in junior single-seater categories and subsequently entered the Auto GP series. Lohan provided business and financial guidance during the team’s formative years and was involved in securing sponsorship and managing costs. He ensured the team's financial stability by sourcing equipment and managing operational costs. Lohan has been a part of the team’s ownership and management structure since its establishment.[3][4][5][6]

Under the ownership group that included Lohan, Virtuosi Racing became involved in higher-tier racing, taking over the management of the Russian Time entry in the GP2 Series (later FIA Formula 2) from 2015. The team competed in F2 under the UNI-Virtuosi name beginning in 2019 and later under Invicta branding following a sponsorship and investment partnership.[3][4][6][7] Throughout this period, the team achieved competitive results, including winning the FIA Formula 2 Teams’ Championship (when operating Russian Time) and securing strong championship finishes with different drivers. The team also won the Team Championship and Drivers Championship in 2024 and has collaborated with several F1 drivers, including Gabriel Bortoleto, Jack Doohan, and Zhou Guanyu.[2][8][9]

Since February 2015, Lohan has been a personal advisor to Cerberus European Capital, working on matters related to pubs and property.[citation needed]

Lohan is married to Mandy Lohan and has 6 children.[citation needed]
