Deep Joshi is an Indian actor, director, writer, filmmaker and entrepreneur known for his work in Punjabi and Hindi cinema and television.[1] He has appeared in Punjabi feature films including Sukhmani, Chak Jawana, Burrraahh, Bathinda Express, Mitran Nu Shonk Hathyaran Da, Singham, and Jugni Yaaran Di.[2] In 2024, he portrayed the character Sikander in the television series Megha Barsenge.[3]
Early life
Deep Joshi was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He developed an interest in acting and filmmaking during his childhood and entered the Punjabi entertainment industry at a young age.
Career
Early career
Joshi made his acting debut as a child artist in Punjabi cinema. He appeared in Sukhmani (2010), followed by Chak Jawana (2010).[4]
Punjabi films
In 2012, Joshi appeared in the comedy film Burrraahh. He later worked in Bathinda Express (2016).[5]
During 2019, he appeared in Mitran Nu Shonk Hathyaran Da, Singham, and Jugni Yaaran Di.[6]
Television
In 2024, Joshi portrayed the character Sikander in the Hindi television series Megha Barsenge.[7]
Writing and directing
Apart from acting, Joshi has also worked as a writer and director on Punjabi film projects.[8]
