Delta Forge 1 is an artificial intelligence data center campus under development by Applied Digital Corporation in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, United States, near Boyce. The $3.6 billion campus, described by the developer as an "AI factory" purpose-built for large-scale AI training and inference workloads, was announced on May 26, 2026 by Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry.[1][2]
Development
Applied Digital purchased the 672-acre site along Interstate 49 in December 2025 for $26.9 million.[3] Site development began in January 2026, with initial operations expected in mid-2027.[3][4]
Power supply
Cleco is planned to serve the facility's full electric load, projected at approximately 300 megawatts.[3]
Economic impact
The campus is expected to directly support 200 full-time on-site jobs at salaries of 150% of the state average wage, with more than 1,000 construction jobs at peak. Louisiana Economic Development estimates an additional 218 indirect jobs in the Central Louisiana region.[2][5]
