Comment: This article lacks secondary references showing notability. The references are either from a Delta Gamma Pi website (2 of them), represent something that any organization could do (2 of them), don't directly reference Delta Gamma Pi (the Maya Angelou quote) or simply show existence (at Roosevelt U.). Additionally, the reference for the Maya Angelou quote is used for the mascot and the rest of that line which doesn't seem correct. At minimum, to show notability for such a group, articles in three newspapers (or similar) talking about Delta Gamma Pi (rather than just mentioning its existence) would be needed to show notability. Delta Gamma Pi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. (ΔΓΠ) was a multicultural, community service-based Greek-lettered sorority founded on November 11, 1998.[1] Delta Gamma Pi was originally an independent social and service sorority. Membership was open to women at both 4-year college and universities, as well as technical and trade schools.
The sorority has not had an active chapter on campus since 2014.[2]
History
Delta Gamma Pi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. was founded on November 11, 1998, by women who were students at Towson University and Frostburg State University in Maryland. The three founders were:[3]

- Felicia Stewart
The sorority incorporated in 2007 in the state of Florida.[4]
Delta Gamma Pi chartered chapters in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia, California, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Louisiana. The national headquarters were in New York, NY - where many alumna lived after graduation.
Symbols
The motto of Delta Gamma Pi is "In Diversity, There Is Beauty and Strength"; adapted from a quote from Maya Angelou's book Rainbow in the Cloud: The Wisdom and Spirit of Maya Angelou.[5]
The sorority's colors where originally baby blue, pink and white. However when codifying their insignia for incorporation, the official colors became are celestial blue. rose pink and pure white.[5] Its flower is the pink modern rose.[5] Its jewel is the conflict-free diamond.[5] Its mascot is the white bengal tiger.[5]
Delta Gamma Pi's coat-of-arms is described as follows:
Arms: On a wreath of pink roses stalked and leaved Proper Quarterly ermine and Celestial Blue 2nd a globe Proper 3rd a lit candle Argent in a holder Or overall the Greek letters Delta Gamma Pi on a bend Rose.
Crest: Issuant from a torse Argent and Celestial Blue a White Bengal tiger head langued Gules.
Motto: Diversity, Beauty, Strength
The coat-of-arms is registered with the U.S. Heraldic Registry[6]
Activities
Delta Gamma Pi Multicultural Sorority supported breast cancer awareness as a national philanthropy.
