Draft:Double screen viewing

Double screen viewing is the concept of using a secondary electronic device, (e.g., a smartphone, tablet, computer), while at the same time “engaging” with a primary content on another screen. [1] This main device tends be the television.

Said event has continued to grow nonstop over the last years, especially with most of the population having more than one device to keep their minds on and so, marketers have noticed the occurrence and have decided to take advantage of the situation. [2] Now, the second screen effect has taken an increase through media consumption and advertising as it reshapes the way content is produced and delivered in order to sustain audience attention across multiple devices simultaneously.
