Doug Ralph is a retired Delta Air Lines airline captain and a nominee to the National Mediation Board (NMB) of the United States.[1]

Education

Ralph earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1973–1977) and a master's degree in systems management from the University of Southern California (1981–1983).[1]

Career

Ralph flew for Delta Air Lines as an airline captain from 1991 to 2020, piloting the Boeing 747 out of John F. Kennedy International Airport.[1][2]

From 2008 to 2015, Ralph was a registered lobbyist for the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA).[1][3]

Ralph served on Delta's board of directors from June 2015 to June 2019, having been nominated by the Delta Master Executive Council.[4]

Nomination to the National Mediation Board

In May 2026, Ralph was nominated to the National Mediation Board for a term expiring July 1, 2028, succeeding Deirdre Hamilton. The nomination was received by the Senate on May 11, 2026, and referred to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.[5]
