DreamApply is an Estonian digital platform for handling applications at higher education institutions. [1] [2]
History
The development of DreamApply began in 2008.[3] In 2011 ERR described the development of DreamApply that was coordinated by the Information Technology Foundation and three Estonian universities: Tallinn University of Technology, Tallinn University and Tartu University, in order to accept cross-border electronic applications[4] ERR news reported that in 2011, DreamApply was adopted for the first time by the University of Tartu.[4]
Admissions systems
In Estonia, international students can apply to multiple universities with one application through the portal estonia.dreamapply.com. [5] [6] Hungarian Stipendium Hungaricum national government scholarship programme used DreamApply for its application process. [7]
Technical integration
DreamApply has been described in the context of digital admissions and student information infrastructure in Estonia, as ICEF Monitor discussed DreamApply being connected to Estonia's X-Road data exchange layer and university student information systems. [8] In 2016 HITSA report described DreamApply as a system for international student applications and admissions, noted DreamApply–SAIS interface being developed for data exchange. [9]
