About
Emoti-Cards, (not to be confused with the emotion identifying cards), is a game made by Gamecade's Gadgets Co..[1] on November 30th, 2024. It is a single player endless deck building rogue-like card game where the player drags emoticon themed cards to defeat enemies.[2] The game is a niche indie game that is published on Itch.io, although the game can also be purchased from its official web page[3]. The game also has a demo[4] that can be played from its own separate web page[5]. The game has an official Discord server[6]
Beginning the Game
Before a player starts the game, they first must select from one of six game modes, each with different effects:
| Difficulty | Bucks Earned Range
(without Bucks multiplier) |
Enemy
Health Range |
Enemy Damage Range | Starting Player
Health |
Other effects |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Newbie | 0 to 1 | 10 to 40 | 1 to (wins*5) | 200 | N/A |
| Easy | 0 to 2 | 20 to 50 | 2 to (wins*5) | 150 | N/A |
| Normal | 0 to 3 | 30 to 60 | 3 to (wins*5) | 100 | N/A |
| Hard | 0 to 4 | 40 to 70 | 4 to (wins*5) | 80 | Collectables are disabled. |
| Difficult | 0 to 5 | 50 to 80 | 5 to (wins*5) | 60 | Collectables are disabled. |
| Impossible | 0 to 6 | 60 to 90 | 4 to (wins*10) | 40 | Collectables are disabled. Modded Rounds occur every round. |
Once a difficulty has been selected, the game begins with 5 cards: Smooch, Talk, Meh, Sad, and Silly. Four of those will be in your hand and one will be in your deck. All multipliers are set to 1 and the first round is guaranteed to not have a Modded Round.

The Birthday Party Modded Round and the Cartoon Wyatt Helps Out Modded Round are the only two Modded Rounds that have alternative ways of triggering them. Shop
The shop was introduced on January 16, 2025[7]. The shop is run by Tohat (an Emish character) and it provides many items. The shop sells Base Pack Volume #1 packs, Collab Packs, and Emish Packs.[3] Bucks, healing, and damage multipliers can be upgraded, and coins are sold in the shop. Every round, the shop sells a random coin. When that coin is purchased, no other coins are sold until a new round starts.
Enemies
The game has 7 enemies: Outrage, Anger, Smirk, Evil Nerd, Evil Cute, Arger, Complain, and Demonic. Arger, Complain, and Demonic have special abilities. Arger deals double damage, Complain takes 50% less damage, and Demonic heals 8 health every turn.
Coins
Coins give effects at any point in the game. Up to three can be owned at one time. The coins are the following:
| Coin | Effect | Requirements | Affected by multipliers? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top Hat | 20% chance to give 5 Bucks per round. | N/A | No |
| Sun | +3 health | An Emish card must be drawn. | Yes |
| Sad | Gives the enemy 1 round of 5 poison damage. | Mustn't damage that turn. | No |
| Bucks | +5 Bucks | Must be a Modded Round | No |
| Paintbrush | 10% damage boost | N/A | No |
| River | Bucks round up to the nearest ten. | N/A | No |
| Poison | Gives 3 rounds of 7 poison damage. | The enemy must deal at least 11 damage. | No |
| Birthday | +1 Buck per second. | N/A | Yes |
| Balloon | +6 health | Must be a Modded Round. | Yes |
| Angelic | +5 health | Must be healing with a card. | Yes |
| Mystery Relic | +1 relic per 10 rounds | N/A | No |
| Cube | Gain a random relic. | The enemy must deal more than 9 damage. | No |
Coins can be sold to free up space. When sold, they give 10-15 Bucks.
Summonings
Summonings were introduced on October 4th, 2025[8] Summonings are similar to purchases in a shop that require certain relics to be bought. The relics are the Wealth, Weapon, Spawn, Modded, Affected, and Mystery relics. These are the Summonings:
| Name | Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Speared | 1 Weapon, 1 Spawn | A spear is thrown at the enemy for 5 damage. |
| Backstabbed | 1 Weapon, 1 Spawn | A portal appears, allowing Decas to stab the enemy with a knife for 10 damage. |
| Lethal Poison | 1 Affected, 1 Mystery | The enemy gets 1 round of 20 poison damage. |
| Blood Money | 2 Wealth, 1 Mystery | A random amount of the enemy's health becomes Bucks. |
| Bring a Friend | 1 Spawn, 1 Modded | Summons the Cartoon Wyatt Helps Out Modded Round |
| Relic Exchange | 1 Mystery | Reveals a Mystery relic. |
| New Deck Member | 1 Spawn | Adds the Angelic card to your deck. |
Collectibles
There are only three collectibles: the Bucks collectible, the heart collectible, and the present collectible. The Bucks collectible gives a random amount of Bucks, the heart collectible gives a random amount of health, and the present (which only appears every August 22) activates the Birthday Party Modded Round.
Music
The only song from this game available elsewhere is the song "Dark Presence", located on Youtube, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Youtube Music.
Emish
The Emish (EE-mish) are a species of creatures that are mainly characterized by their emoticon faces, spherical hands, and brightly colored skin. The shop owner, Tohat (TOE-hat), is a member of this species, having bright blue skin. Mechval (MESH-vul), Deyect (duh-YEKT), Omaze (O-maze), and Traxter (TRACKS-tur) are all individuals of this race, with all of them having bright blue skin as well.
