Extensiv, formerly 3PL Central, is an American software company that develops cloud-based warehouse management system (WMS) for third-party logistics (3PL).[1][2]

History

3PL Central (Extensiv) started in 2006. It was created to help keep track of products and ship orders for different businesses that share the same space.[3][1]

3PL Central appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, in 2021.[4]

In April 2021 3PL Central bought Skubana. Skubana helps manage orders and products across places.[1][5][6] Also in 2021 they bought CartRover. CartRover connects stores, marketplaces and shipping companies.[7][8] Later they bought Scout Software. Scout Software is a tool for managing amounts of products in a warehouse.[9][10]

In May 2022, the company renamed itself Extensiv, consolidating its acquired products under a single brand. At the time of the rebrand, Extensiv had more than 1,500 third-party logistics providers used its platform.[2][11][12]

Extensiv started publishing yearly survey reports about the third-party logistics industry. Findings from these reports have been covered by DC Velocity, Sourcing Journal, and Digital Commerce 360.[13][14][15]

In June 2026, Extensiv AI was realeased.[16]

Products

  • Small Parcel Suite – barcode-verified packing, built-in rate shopping, and bulk label printing.[20]
  • Network Manager – run a multi-site fulfillment network on one login, scaling through partner warehouses without having to add new leases.[21][17]
  • Labor Analytics Dashboard – real-time and historical labor insights of your warehouse.[17]
  • Warehouse Manager – warehouse management software for ecommerce fulfillment. [9][22]
  • Billing – client-level rate cards and automated invoicing for third-party logistics providers.[17]
  • Extensiv AI – launched in 2026, answers questions from live warehouse data and help documentation.[16]

In 2026, Robotics and Automation News included Extensiv in an overview of warehouse management systems for third-party logistics providers, describing it as suited to growing and mid-market 3PLs.[23]
