Fetii is an American group rideshare company based in Austin, Texas. Founded in 2020 by Matthew Iommi and Justin Rath, the company operates an on-demand transportation platform focused on groups using 15-passenger sprinter vans and shuttle services. The company utilizes artificial intelligence for dispatching and optimizing shuttle locations in partnership with independent vehicle service providers. [1]
Fetii primarily serves college students, nightlife districts, events, and large-group transportation markets. The company operates in multiple U.S. cities and partners with independent vehicle service providers to facilitate rides booked through its mobile application. [2]
History
Fetii was founded in 2020 by Texas A&M University students Matthew Iommi and Justin Rath after identifying a lack of affordable on-demand transportation options for larger groups. The founders initially experimented with operating a party bus service before expanding into an app-based group rideshare platform. [3]
The company participated in Y Combinator's Summer 2022 batch. In February 2025, Fetii announced a $7.35 million seed funding round led by Mark Cuban, with participation from Y Combinator, Goodwater Capital, and other investors.[4]
By 2025, the company reported operations in more than 60 cities across several U.S. states, including Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida.[5]
Operations
Fetii's mobile app facilitates hailing vehicles, QR-base fare splitting, and reservations, primarily for groups.[6] The company operates in over 68 cities across six states, including Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, College Station, and Lubbock in Texas, as well as Atlanta, Nashville, Phoenix/Scottsdale, Baton Rouge and South Florida.[7] Fetii services over 200,000 passengers monthly.
The company primarily uses 14- and 15-passenger vehicles operated by independent transportation providers connected through Fetii’s platform.[8]
Fetii has focused much of its early growth on university communities and entertainment districts, particularly among younger riders traveling in groups.
Technology
In 2025, Fetii launched "NeuralShuttle", an AI-powered dispatch and shuttle coordination system designed for high-demand events and venues. According to Iommi, the system uses historical transportation data and demand forecasting to position vehicles before concerts, sporting events, and festivals conclude. [9]
Fetii piloted the system with venues including Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and State Farm Stadium in Arizona.[10]
