Figure Plant is a fabrication studio based in Portland, Oregon, United States. The company fabricates physical elements for public art projects, exhibits, and architectural installations. History
Figure Plant was founded in 1997 in Ashland, Oregon in founder David Fredrickson's garage.[2] The studio later relocated to San Francisco and then moved and expanded to Portland, Oregon in its current 15,000 square foot shop space.[2]
Work
Figure Plant has contributed fabrication work to regional public art and municipal projects. In 2024, the company fabricated early-learning exhibits and interior structures for the Deschutes County Public Library system as part of the library's modernization and construction program.[3]
The studio has also performed restoration-related fabrication work connected to Portland's historic Paul Bunyan statue, a landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[4]
Recognition
Figure Plant appears in the Regional Arts and Culture Council’s public resource directory as a fabrication vendor.[1]
