Forever Magazine is a literary magazine founded by Madeline Cash and Anika Jade Levy, now co-run by Nat Ruiz, that publishes weekly online and quarterly in print.[1][2][3] Described by the founders as "too small to fail," Forever Magazine is known for publishing esoteric and iconoclastic short fiction, essays, and interviews, often with a distinctly feminine point of view. Its notable contributors include Gary Indiana, Emma Cline, Rachel Kushner, Dennis Cooper, Sheila Heti, and Eileen Myles.[4]
The magazine is named after the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where Cash and Levy hosted popular readings during the COVID pandemic in 2020. Cash stepped back from her role at the helm of the magazine in December 2025, preceding the publication of her debut novel, Lost Lambs.[5] Levy published a debut novel, Flat Earth, in November 2025. The magazine operates out of both New York City and Los Angeles.
