GodSVG is a free and open-source vector graphics editor licensed under MIT, primarily used for technical illustrations. It lets you interact with vector shapes while editing the underlying SVG code in real-time.

GodSVG uses a more technical approach to editing vector documents, with its user interface serving as a way to edit the code quicker, rather than abstracting away the inner workings of it.

GodSVG doesn't use project files and instead operates directly on SVG files, without saving any project metadata. As it saves a file, it runs a customizable formatter for it.

GodSVG can render vector documents to a selection of raster formats, such as but not limited to PNG, JPEG, and WebP. It also features some compression options for exporting optimized vector documents.

The project is still in early development and currently lacks a lot of features.

Name

The project's name is a play on Godot, the game engine the project is built with, and "SVG", referring to Scalar Vector Graphics
