History

Founding (2015–2017)

Inexbot was founded in December 2015 in Nanjing. In 2016, it received RMB 5 million in angel funding from Zhongke Investment and Anxinrong Investment[3] and debuted at the China International Robot Show, where it launched an EtherCAT-based robot control system. The company won first prize at the inaugural Jiangsu Intelligent Manufacturing Competition. In 2017, it released a multi-robot cooperative control system and arc-welding software package, and established an R&D center in Dongguan.

Platform development (2018–2021)

From 2018 to 2020, Inexbot received the Gaogong Golden Globe Award for control systems for three consecutive years. The NexDroid secondary development platform was launched in 2019, and the company raised a Pre-A round from Tengye Ventures the same year.[3] In 2021, Inexbot closed its Series A round with Zhongke Investment and Shunrong Capital[3], cumulative controller shipments exceeded 10,000 units, and the company won first prize at the National Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Competition and received the Capek Award for Technological Innovation Product of the Year.[1]

Expansion (2022–present)

After 2022, Inexbot expanded into semiconductor wafer handling and medical automation. In 2023, it registered Inexbot Control Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.[4] and incorporated Inexbot Technology (Wuhu) Co., Ltd. In 2024, the company launched collaborative robot control cabinets and drive-control integrated cabinets.
