Jennifer Rayner is an Australian author. She is known for her work writing 4 books.

Rayner was born during the Hawke Labor government years of the 1980s. (1983-1991)^[1]

She holds 4 degrees; A Ph.D. in Political Science from the Australian National University, a Diploma of Modern Languages (Indonesian) from the University of New England (AU), a Masters of Public Policy from Macquarie University, and a Bachelor of Communications from the University of Canberra.^[2]

In 2016, she wrote her first book, Generation Less.^[3] This book was shortlisted for the 2017 ACT Book of the Year Award.^[4]

In 2018, she wrote her second book, Blue Collar Frayed. To write this book, she travelled around New South Wales to interview various blue collar workers, putting her Bachelor of Communications to good use.^[5]

Later that year, she wrote her part in Australia and Indonesia: Can We Be Friends? with five other authors; Hugh White, Endy Bayuni, Tim Lindsey, Julia Wallace, and Richard McGregor.^[6]

In 2024, she wrote her fourth and currently final book, Climate Clangers: The Bad Ideas Blocking Real Action. She spoke about this book at Percapita's June 2024 John Cain Lunch.^[7]
