Kelvin Montgomery (born March 20, 1987), known professionally as KLSH, is an American record producer, songwriter, executive producer and creative director. He is best known for his long-running collaboration with British-Canadian singer Rochelle Jordan, including her albums 1021, Play with the Changes and Through the Wall.

Early life

Montgomery was born in Los Angeles, California, and was raised between Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Fayetteville, North Carolina. After graduating, Montgomery served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, including two deployments during the Iraq War. After leaving the military, he returned to Los Angeles.

Career

Montgomery founded Protostar, a label and production company associated with several releases by Rochelle Jordan. Working under the name KLSH, he first connected with Jordan after discovering videos of her singing covers on YouTube. According to The Fader, Jordan received a series of direct messages from KLSH in 2009, after which the two began working together. The publication described KLSH as a Virginia Beach producer based in Los Angeles.[1] Their early collaborations included Jordan's first mixtape, Alien Phase, released in 2010.[2]

KLSH was the primary producer of Jordan's 2014 debut studio album 1021, which was released through Protostar. In a review for Exclaim!, Michael J. Warren wrote that KLSH's production was well paired with Jordan's vocals and described him as the album's primary producer.[3] NOW also described KLSH as the album's primary producer.[4]

He continued working with Jordan on her 2021 album Play with the Changes. In coverage of the album, The Fader described KLSH as Jordan's longtime collaborator.[5]

In 2025, KLSH served as executive producer on Jordan's third studio album, Through the Wall. Beatportal described the album as being made with KLSH "at the helm as executive producer", while The Fader stated that KLSH had served as executive producer and creative director for all of Jordan's projects.[6][7]

Across Jordan's catalog, Montgomery has been credited as a producer, songwriter, executive producer and creative director.
