Kelli Ferrell was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1985. As a child, Ferrell frequently cooked with her mother and grandmother using the home recipes found in Ferrell's first book. She attended school in Baltimore, Maryland and later pursued further education at Bauder College from which she graduated with a degree in Fashion marketing & design. Ferrell has 4 children. She married Mark Ferrell in 2011 in Miami Beach, Florida and the couple had children. In 2022 she filed for divorce from Ferrell citing the date of separation as January of 2022.^{[2] [3]}
