  • Comment: At this stage it does not look like the subject qualifies under WP:NACADEMIC. Yes there is criteria about being an editor of a respected journal, however it clearly requires the subject to be head or lead editor. In this case there is an editorial board of six, of which the subject is a member. It may be another criteria of NACADEMIC can be met, perhaps based on Critical Notices or similar, but that is not currently evident. If NACADEMIC does not apply then it's over to WP:GOLDENRULE where we would need 3 independent profiles in reliable sources giving significant coverage. Kingsley Edney

Kingsley John Edney, born 1978 in Wellington, New Zealand, is an academic specialising in the international relations of China and an editor of the British Journal of Politics and International Relations.

Education

He attended Victoria University of Wellington, graduating with a BA(Hons) in Politics and Anthropology in 2001. He studied Chinese language in Shanghai at Fudan University and Shanghai Jiaotong University before completing an MA (2006) and PhD (2012) at the University of Melbourne. During his PhD he spent six months as an exchange student at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
