Kofi Awoonor (born 24 December 2001) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a left central defender or left back, and can also operate as a defensive midfielder. He currently plays for Orlando Pirates Sport Club in the Namibia Premier Football League.

Awoonor was born on 24 December 2001 in Accra, Ghana. He grew up in the Winneba area of Ghana and began playing football from a young age. He started his development at Soccer Intellectuals FC before earning an opportunity at the prestigious Feyenoord Academy in the Netherlands.

Awoonor signed a professional contract with FK Dečić of Tuzi, Montenegro on 5 August 2021, valid until 30 June 2022.^[1] The contract was certified by the Football Association of Montenegro (FSCG). His move to Europe represented a significant milestone in his career, gaining professional experience in the Montenegrin First Football League. FK Dečić, founded in 1926, is one of Montenegro's established top-flight clubs.

Following his time in Montenegro, Awoonor returned to Ghana and rejoined Soccer Intellectuals FC, where he was awarded Young Player of the Year for his performances during the season.

On 30 January 2024, Awoonor signed a professional contract with Orlando Pirates Sport Club (OPSC), based in Windhoek, Namibia, competing in the Namibia Premier Football League (NPFL).^[2] The contract ran through 30 June 2024.

Awoonor has represented the Ghana U17 national team, earning 2 caps and contributing 2 assists — demonstrating his ability to influence play from a defensive position.
