LOGEX is a European health care analytics company that provides software and data services to health care organisations, including hospitals and life sciences companies.
History
LOGEX was founded in the Netherlands in 2008 as a provider of hospital cost and data analytics. The company later expanded into clinical benchmarking and outcome analysis.
In 2018, LOGEX became part of the portfolio of the European private equity firm Summa Equity following a series of acquisitions, including the Swedish company Ivbar. With the support of Summa Equity, the company expanded its international operations and product portfolio.[1]
In 2023, LOGEX announced an investment from the U.S.-based software investment firm Thoma Bravo.[2][3]
Products
LOGEX develops analytics software used by hospitals to evaluate clinical outcomes, treatment variation, resource utilisation, and financial performance. Its platforms combine administrative, financial, and clinical data and are used for benchmarking at regional, national, and institutional levels.[4]
Use in research and media
A 2023 study published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research referenced LOGEX data in the context of hospital benchmarking.[5]
In the United Kingdom, analysis attributed to LOGEX has been cited in reporting by The Guardian on access to medicines and prescribing policy within the National Health Service.[6]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, LOGEX data was referenced in a Forbes article discussing hospital financing and compensation mechanisms.[7]
