LearningRO is an educational technology platform founded in 2025.[1][2] It provides AI-assisted tutoring and digital revision tools for students in the United Kingdom.[3]
History
LearningRO originated as a college coursework project for the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Business. Developed at Gateway College, the platform was created by Dhumik Pravin as part of Unit 19 Pitching for a New Business.[4] The assignment required students to develop and pitch a micro-business concept, modeled after the Dragons' Den television format. Initially launched on 25 January 2025 under the name 'LearnifyX', the project was later rebranded to LearningRO.[5][6][7][8]
RoTutor
RoTutor is an AI-assisted chatbot integrated into the LearningRO platform.[9] It provides structured guidance for academic subjects such as science, mathematics, English, and business. The chatbot includes step-by-step explanations, and built-in study tools, such as a note system, timer, and goal tracker. The chatbot uses a points-based system for user avatars.[10]
The platform includes accessibility tools designed for students with disabilities. It is designed to support students who prefer or require technology-based learning environments.[11][12]
Subjects
The platform provides resources for various educational levels, including GCSEs, BTECs, and A-levels. Subject areas include science, mathematics, business studies, and geography.[13][14]
Cultural and Festival Learning
LearningRO also includes a category dedicated to cultural and festival education. This section provides information on the historical and social background of festivals celebrated in India and other regions. This includes 'The Great Builders of India' project, a series covering historical figures such as freedom fighters, rishis and sants. The project focuses on connecting historical figures and contemporary values for younger learners[15]
