Comment: This is worded as if promoting the company. It's not sufficiently neutral in phrasing and conveys only positive messaging. ChrysGalley (talk) 17:16, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
Lenwich is an American sandwich restaurant chain headquartered in New York City. Founded in 1989, by brothers Lenny and Brian Chu, the company specializes in made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast offerings, and catering services. From the beginning, they obsessed over the details — the way the deli meat was sliced, how the ingredients were layered, and how a neighborhood deli should treat its neighbors.
Today, Lenwich has grown to more than 14 locations across New York City and expanded to South Korea but still operate like the original family shop.
Starting with one location on 84th and Columbus, the brand now operates locations throughout the New York metropolitan area and is known for serving everyone across Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs. A staple in the heart of the community where New Yorkers alike live, work and play.
History
Lenwich was founded in New York City in 1989 with the goal of providing freshly prepared sandwiches and deli-inspired menu offerings. Over the following decades, the company expanded throughout Manhattan and established itself as a recognizable regional quick-service restaurant brand. In addition to the footprint in NYC, Lenwich has expanded operations and is now serving NY's beloved heroes in Korea.[1]
The company has evolved its menu and digital ordering capabilities to accommodate changing consumer preferences, including online ordering, third-party delivery partnerships, and catering services.[2]
In 2025, Pacific General and Lenwich entered into a strategic partnership with plans to grow and scale the business nationwide, beginning in the Northeast corridor.[3] As it stands currently, Lenwich growth outside of NYC has already commenced, with their first New Jersey location slated for later this year.[4]
Operations
Lenwich operates fourteen company-owned locations in the Manhattan, sprinkled throughout UES, UWS, Midtown, Flatiron, USQ and Tribeca. The menu includes fully customizable signature sandwiches, breakfast items, salads, wraps, soups, beverages, and catering platters. Most popular items, as seen on TikTok, Instagram and Threads are their Caesar Wrap,[5] The Lenwich, and most recently off the "Secret Menu" the Lettuce Wrap.[6][7]
Marketing and brand
The company has historically focused on local brand recognition within New York City. In recent years, Lenwich has invested in digital ordering platforms, loyalty initiatives, delivery partnerships, and customer engagement programs.[8]
To date Lenwich has had a fanatical following based strictly on word of mouth and viral trends. A staple in NYC for quality and consistency.[9]
Catering
Lenwich provides catering services for corporate meetings, events, and workplace dining. Catering offerings include sandwich platters, boxed lunches, breakfast selections, and group meal solutions.
