Lickd is a music licensing company based in London, United Kingdom.[1][2] Lickd licenses popular commercial music to video content creators on social media platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.[3]
Lickd has several partnerships to license commercial music with major music companies and labels including Universal Music Group & Universal Music Publishing Group,[4] Warner Music Group & Warner Chappell Music,[5] Merlin Network,[6] BMG[7] and Empire Distribution.[8] Lickd also has a production music offering supplied by Audio Network.[9]
History
In 2021, Lickd received $7 million in funding from Warner Music Group and Epic Games.[10][11]
Platform
Lickd's primary audience is creators using YouTube; it has developed the proprietary software system VOUCH that integrates with ContentID to ensure that licensed usages of music are not subject to copyright claims.[12]
