Comment: This will need some more independent sourcing. There is one independent source, and one blogspot based source, which isn't good for this purpose. Another couple of reliable sources would make this easier to accept. There are also a few referencing errors, not a reason for the decline, but it would be good to get those fixed. WP:REFB. Nutshell Magazine was a London-based literary magazine that featured original short fiction, poetry, illustration and literary interviews.
History and profile
Founded in 2008 by editors Faye Fornasier and Emma Gibson, and co-edited by Rebecka Mustajärvi, Ian McLachlan, Paul McGrane, Jack Houston, and Sophie Wardell.
Nutshell Magazine matched creative writing with original illustration in a paperback-sized bound volume, providing a platform for new and established talent to come together. The first issue was published in 2009 and was distributed for free. The first two issues were printed in black and white, and the third and fourth in colour. Issues are held at the British Library.[1]
Printed issues were accompanied by literary readings and live music events at The Lexington Pub, Servants Jazz Quarters, and The Old Queen’s Head in London.
Contributors to the magazine include novelists Zoë Fairbairns and Nikesh Shukla, writers and artists Joanna Walsh and SJ Fowler, poets Maitreyabandhu and Tim Wells. The second issue featured interviews with Blake Morrison and Simonetta Agnello Hornby.[2]
The last printed issue launched in 2014.
