Nouri Frenken (Born april 24, 1994), known professionally as Ohnoah, is a Dutch, Tunesian and Italian artist best known for their release "Student loans" which was released in 2026. The musical artist from Rotterdam has written songs for other artists such as "Nasty" by 3Arelegend and Blasterjaxx and "Wat moet ik dan anders doen" by Miss Montreal. They identify as Non-Binary and this is also reflected in their music. Nouri Frenken is in the top 5% producers and top 2% songwriters globally
Early Life
Frenken was born in Den Bosch. Their father is from Tunesian and Italian descent, and their mother is Dutch. They spent their early life living in Trieste and Venezia Italy and after they moved back to the Netherlands. [1]At 17 Ohnoah ran from their abusive household and started making music to cope with a depression. Frenken studied Vocals at the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht and after that started working and writing for different artists.
Career
Ohnoah started their career as Ackley, a singer songwriter solo project where they played Down the Rabbit Hole festival 3 times. They took time to write in the studio and "writing and producing for others was how I paid the rent. Then that side of my career exploded, it got so big and demanding that my own voice was completely sidelined. I just didn’t have the time to release my own music"
Their first major release was "Lonely Door" with Wulf in 2020, after that release they got signed to BMG Music Rights Management in 2021. During their publishing career they then released over a 100 songs. Notable releases are:
- "Lonely Door" with Wulf in 2020
- "Wat moet ik dan anders doen" with Miss Montreal
- Baas B x Loen (with Nouri) EP
- "Nasty" by 3Arelegend and Blasterjaxx (3Arelegend are Steve Aoki and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike)
They say their sound is shaped by feelings and the unique sound and lyrics made them a sought after collaborator and why people want their songs[2]
2026 - Present
2026 marked the moment they stepped out of the dark and finally started releasing their own music. Frenken opened up about their mental health struggles and how music helped them cope with them. Their purpose is to give this part back to the people that also feel alone or depressed.
