Operation Al-Rajouh was a military operation conducted by Tripod forces against Pro-Taha forces.
Background
Military defeat against Asad
suffering crushing defeat against Asad Forces in April, 2023, Tripod high command was in disarray. The Cheif of Operations Staff Ali Haider wanted to gain his lost glory since he was the one commanding the forces against Asad forces. Ali Haider had eyed another target to regain his lost glory. This time the target was a ghost of the past, Taha Forces.
Planning
The operation was planned and proposed by Ali Hussain Sindhu, the Director General of Military Intelligence. Ali Hussain was confident and hoped for a swift victory. Initially, Ali Haider disapproved and did not want to repeat the tragedy against the Asad Forces. Even the Director General of Military Operations, Abdul Jabbar Ijaz, disapproved of the operation, stating:
- "This is tactically good, but on the strategic level it would be a great disaster."
Nevertheless, Ali Hussain began lobbying and convincing Ali Haider to approve a military operation without Abdul Jabbar Ijaz knowing.
